GOT 2 B CLOGGIN
Our Peachland Cloggers
"Got 2 B Cloggin" had it's beginnings in West Kelowna, BC, in 2013. From there it expanded to Peachland and Vernon, which are also in the Okanagan Valley. When Co-Vid 19 hit, we were forced to draw back, take stock, and adjust our routines. Now we meet Monday and Wednesday evenings in the roomy Peachland 50+ Activity Centre; and Saturday mornings in West Kelowna at the Seniors' Centre.

We are a fun-loving group of people who love to show up for some social interaction and exercise, while learning fun dance steps to a variety of music. We seem to spend a lot of time laughing together, however.

Clogging is Fun
And Great Exercise
If you love to dance -- and maybe need more exercise -- clogging could be just the thing to get you moving. Once you begin, you will progress through the levels at your own speed and ability. Before you know it, you'll be hooked on those double tap sounds and the great way you feel.

Clogging is a social activity. You get to spend time every week dancing and laughing with your new friends. Currently it is necessary to maintain social distancing during classes; and luckily, we are able to do that comfortably in the roomy hall at the Peachland 50+ Activity Centre.

I started clogging in the early 1990’s in Victoria, BC. under the tutelage of Susan Woods. Shortly after I learned my first steps, a group of people from the Cobble Hill area asked Susan to teach them, and I accompanied her to be of some assistance. After a few months, Susan needed to move and I was asked to teach the Cobble Hill folks. I was terrified, but gave it my all and now, decades later, that group is still clogging.

Due to family circumstances, I spent a few years moving back and forth between BC and Ontario; however, those moves provided me with a variety of teaching experiences. In 2011, I wrote my Instructor’s exam and passed with flying colours.
I now call Kelowna my home.
